Goodwill

Goodwill is the perfect place for cheap and easy Halloween costumes. There is a large supply of all articles of clothing in a large variety of colors and patterns. Goodwill is great for do-it-yourself costumes and the low prices make it an excellent place to buy one use items. The store’s website has many recommendations for easy costume ideas using only store merchandise. There are Goodwill stores in Palo Alto at 4085 El Camino Way and in Mountain View at 855 El Camino Real. The stores offer few Halloween decorations, pre-made costumes and accessories.

Party America

Party America is a party supplies store with an enormous collection of Halloween costumes, accessories and supplies. The shelves are stocked with numerous pre-packaged costumes for witches, ghosts and princesses. There is also a great selection of props including broomsticks, wands, hats and makeup. Party America also has a large selection of Halloween decorations including lights, gravestones, fake spiders and motion-activated dangling ghosts. Pre-packaged Halloween costumes are pricey and can range from $20 to $60. The closest Party America is located in Redwood City at 1289 Veterans Blvd.

Diddams

Popular among kids, teens and adults, the name “Diddams” is synonymous with parties and Halloween. Not only does the store offer a large selection of costumes and accessories to help you gear up for the next fright fest, Diddams can also provide you with all the decorations necessary for a regular party. There are ribbons, candles and many types of party favors. With the well-organized sections, costumers can easily find what they need. There is never a shortage of supplies, and costumes are available year-round. However, one down side is if you buy an item, you cannot return it unpackaged. The store offers supplies for all seasons and parties of all themes. The closest Diddams is located in Palo Alto at 215 Hamilton Ave.

Spirit Store

With costumes for all ages ranging from toddlers to adults, the Spirit Store definitely brings out the spirit of Halloween. The store boasts an extensive array of Halloween goods, though most of them come with a hefty price tag. Adult Halloween costumes may range from $50 to hundreds of dollars. Although kids’ costumes are relatively cheaper, they may still run up your bill. If you have a pet, Spirit is the way to go. The store offers many choices in the pet department; you can choose from classic costumes for your pet like a Darth Vader, or more racy ones like the Playboy Bunny. If you want to coordinate with that special someone, never fear—Spirit offers couple costumes for the price of one. The closest Spirit Store is located in Sunnyvale at 1236 W. El Camino Real.
