According to head coach Chris Redfield, the team is hoping to build off of last year’s season with a squad of mainly returning players. Having only lost two starters from last year the varsity boys seem to be in good shape for the season.
“A previously inexperienced team, is coming back older,” Redfield said. “They’re looking to win league and be a contender in CCS.”
Playing strong teams throughout the league including Paly, the defending CCS Champions. Gunn is looking at a team willing to work hard and gain big.
“We are looking forward to playing Paly,” returning junior Anthony Bernard said. “And gaining respect from the rest of the teams.”
Juniors Peter Jordan and David Riley are expected to lead the team this year. Both were major factors in last year’s season, with Jordan being among team leaders in total points and rebounds, and Riley lead the team in 3-Pounters made.
Other players to watch for are Nicholas LaFleure, Josue Gill and Niel Brennan.
