[News] An overwhelming turnout of students, parents and staff members gathered on Nov. 8 for Gunn Beautification Day (GBD), a three-hour event formally known as Gunn Pride Day sponsored by the Parent Teacher Student Association. Volunteers arrived at 9 a.m., fully expecting to complete their share of work while enjoying the tables of breakfast pastries, and later, pizza. —Wen Yi Chin

For junior Alexandra Yesian, however, injuries forced her to abandon an eight-year career in gymnastics, and jump back into the athletic world of synchronized swimming.—Wen Yi Chin

[Sports] While most students put on a sweatshirt when the wind blows, members of the Gunn sailing team rejoice at the opportunity, and are immediately out in their boats zipping up a different kind of outerwear: a lifejacket. —Wen Yi Chin
[Sports] The last bell of the school year rings and the doors swing open as students pour out of their classrooms, making it into the first few minutes of the much anticipated summer holiday. The season of relaxation is about to begin. —Wen Yi Chin
[Sports] I stare into the mirror, bobby pins sticking out of my mouth as I try to tie a big red ribbon around my ponytail. I don as much red and black as possible without looking too ridiculous. But I hesitate. After all, the whole point of dressing up in school colors is to be ostentatious and flashy. [Sports] ‘The Lemur,’ ‘Rajibbles’ and ‘Zooboomafoo’ are not just pet names, but nicknames teammates have given sophomore Rajeev Herekar, who is currently ranked 13 in North California in the “16 and under” tennis division.—Wen Yi Chin
[News] Human Relations Commissioners junior Amarelle Hanyecz and senior Molly Babbington have been working since December to produce the first ever handbook written specifically to help ease the transition of new students at Gunn. Hanyecz and Babbington both volunteered to head the project, feeling that it was the perfect job for them as Human Relations Commissioners.—Wen Yi Chin
