    • Take time to ask your student about what they did in their session

    • Encourage your student to ask their TitanConnect coach for support when they need it, or any other questions

    • Encourage your student to speak up for what they want and need from the TitanConnect space

TitanConnect is a program at Gunn High School intended to provide our 9th grade students a safe and fun place to learn about the many ways to be a productive Titan in our school community, and a space to reflect on their emotions.

Identifying the emotions that one is feeling allows for the individual to know which resources or help they may need to access to feel emotionally healthy.  TitanConnect intends to set up a space for students’ needs and voices to drive the time together.

To All Students Planning on Playing a Winter Sport

A Pre-Participation Examination (PPE) or Physical Examination is needed on file with the athletic office prior to starting tryouts.  In order to make this process easier, the Gunn Athletics Department, in partnership with Stanford Children’s Health Care, will be performing PPEs on Monday, October 10, 2016. These highly trained Stanford Sports Medicine specialists will be at the PE Classroom from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

All Winter Sport athletes who do not have a current PPE on file are recommended to reserve a time to be seen. Please click on the link to make your reservation: http://www.stanfordchildrens.org/en/service/young-athletes-academy/palo-alto-unified-school-district

In addition to having a current and valid PPE, students and parents will need to create an account on athleticclearance.com. This is the online version of the Athletic Packet, which doubles as parental consent and your coach’s emergency card, must also be completed before the first day of tryouts.

The presentations of this past September 8th Freshman & Sophomore Parent Night are now viewable here.
