Transportation Information - Commute Survey (2004) - Pedaling for Prizes

VTA County Busses
Half-price VTA Monthly bus passes are available in the Gunn Student Activity Center for $15.00 in the Fall 2008 (check for availability with the SAC at 650-354-8229).
The VTA route 88 stop is directly in front of Gunn on Arastradero.  Call 800-894-9908, or check the VTA site: www.vta.org/schedules/SCA_88CN_WK.html

VTA one trip fares are now .50c (no change given) for students under 18, and $1.00 for students over 18.

The SAC also has maps and schedules available.

Free Crosstown Shuttle
The City of Palo Alto’s free shuttle serves Gunn students from Midtown through the Ventura neighborhood. For complete information, including more detailed maps, see the web site for the shuttle: www.cityofpaloalto.org/transportation/shuttle/

PAUSD Busses
The District makes unused seats on its Routes J, Y, and Z buses available to high school students for a fee. Call 329-3980.

Biking & Walking
The Gunn parking lot provides a designated path for bicyclists and pedestrians who enter at the north end of campus, by the tennis courts. If you bike, look for the Pedal for Prizes* volunteers in the bike cage.  They offer treats ranging from candy to a chance to win a bike.
