Library Services For Students
First Step: Get a Library account
- The first time you use one of the library computers you will need to set up an account.
- Type your student ID in the User name field, and click OK.
- You will get a message that your password has expired and needs to be changed. Click OK.
- Tab to the New password field, and type whatever you want to use as your password.Type it again in Confirm. Click OK.
- Message: Your password has been changed. Click OK.
- This is your personal account.
- Do not share your password with others, and be sure to logoff when you are finished.

Books and Periodicals
The Gunn Library has over 17,000 books, and a variety of periodicals for your research and enjoyment. Go to the FAQ to learn about the collections.Computers:

The library has 10 stations on the main floor. The computers are connected to the internet and to a printer. See library staff before printing (school work only). We charge 10 cents per page.
Present options for saving documents created at Gunn:
- Bring a personal USB flash drive for saving work.
- Have a file storage account set up in the MacLab, which you can access from home.
- Check the Documents folder on the library station you were using (no guarantee the file will not have been modified or deleted).
Group Study Rooms

The Six Group Study Rooms are available for staff or student use during regular library hours. Five of the rooms seat four to six people. LB-2C will hold 10.
For unsupervised student groups working with teacher permission during school hours: Your students may come and use a room with a permission slip during regular class time. Please instruct the students to check in with the librarian on duty.
No food or drink is allowed in these rooms, and students should be told that they may not sit or lie on the counters.
Copier/Printer: 10 cents per page.

Zipcode Look Up and Address Management The United States Postal Service has a search engine to locate Zipcodes
and correct addresses.
Library Rules and Procedures
- No eating, drinking (H2O okay), or gum chewing in the library
- Cell Phones Off
- Quiet conversation only, be considerate of others
- Leave the area you used clean with chairs pushed in. Do not move furniture.

Volunteer and Become a Friend of The Library

A few serious volunteers are needed. You can earn community service hours.
Applications are taken at the beginning of each semester.
Donate Materials
The Library is accepting donations of (High School Appropriate) the following items:
- Money Donations to build our collections and for miscellaneous items such as display racks and furniture for the library courtyard.
- Graphic Novels, DVD's and audio books (high school appropriate please) to augment our starter collections of these formats
- New popular fiction in good condition
