Attendance Notification System
In an effort to improve communication and support the safety and well-being of our students, PAUSD schools use an attendance notification system.
Starting on September 16th, absence notifications will be sent daily at 10:30am, 2:00pm and 5:30pm via email, text message, and phone calls. Messages will be sent if a student has one or more period absences in the day, that have not yet been cleared in the system**.
This system utilizes the contact information you provide in Infinite Campus. Please review your information to make sure it is current. It is important that we notify you of your child's absence so that you can clear the absence and help ensure your child's safety.
**Gunn Attendance staff work diligently to record each absence reported by parents/guardians via email, phone call, messages and in person. If we have not cleared a parent reported absence by the times the attendance notification system notifies you, and you are certain you have reported the absence, please do not call or email to report the absence a second time. Please check your child's Infinite Campus record that evening or the next day. If the following day the absence still appears, then contact the attendance office. Otherwise, we appreciate your patience as we clear the reported absences.
