  • Academic Center: Free After School Tutoring Available! You can get after-school tutoring in the Gunn Library starting Tuesday, September 3rd! We offer up to AP Biology in Room E, and all levels of Math in Rooms F and G.  Come on in and meet the peer tutors and get some homework help.  No appointment needed. 
    • The Academic Center is recruiting the following tutors.  
      • 4th period Analysis H and Chem H
      • 4th Period Alg 2/Trig A and Chem 
      • AP Bio/APUSH/Alg 2 Trig H/Pre-calc tutor during 5th period, Tuesdays or Wednesdays after school 
      • U.S. Government Wednesday 
      • Chemistry Wednesday or Friday 
      • 7th period Chem H

  • The Fall Club Charter Application is Due Today/Tuesday!  Interested in fostering a special community? Creating a brand new club catered towards unique interests?   • HEY TITANS! Make sure to come to the Fall Sports Rally THIS FRIDAY @ LUNCH in the Titan Gym and wear RED! Sign up at tinyurl.com/GunnFSR to participate in the balloon relay game — we need 5 participants from each class! SEE YOU THERE 

 

  • Buy your ASB card now and SAVE MONEY on PROM, HOCO, MERCH, YEARBOOK, SPORTS GAMES, and more!  Purchase in the SAC or on the titan webstore  Regular ASB cards are 25$ and ASB Lightning pass are 50$. (Swipe to see all the discount details).  All funds support student activities such as homecoming, rallies, and other spirit events
    • If you bought an ASB card/ Lightning Pass - bring your ID card in to the Student Activities Center to have it punched!  The First Home Football Game is 9/6  - make sure you have your card punched for entry.

 

  • The Oracle, Gunn's student newspaper, is looking for your opinion for our September 20 issue. Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey. The survey will close Wednesday, Sept. 11, so please fill it out before then.

 

  • Parking Enforcement Begins on 9/10:  Ticketing in the Gunn parking lots begins on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The Palo Alto Police Department will ticket any car that does not have an appropriate parking permit  visible.  Only students who have a 24-25 Parking Permit should park on campus starting on 9/10.  If you wish to purchase a parking permit, the Student Activities Center is taking a waiting list at this time - we do not have any available permits for sale.  Additional spaces may become available once parking enforcement begins and we have a chance to asses available space in the lot.

 

  • Final Photo Day - Last Chance!  If you missed out the photo day on 8/13 or New Student Orientation, you have one last chance chance to get your photo taken on Wednesday, 9/10 in the Spangenberg Lobby, from 9:00am - 1pm!  If you have not had a photo taken yet, you will need to register:  GSP-REGISTER.COM
    • This Make Up Photo Day is for: 
    • Newly registered students
    • Students who missed the registration days
    • Image issues (who reached out to Generations specifically)
    • Picture package retakes (those who ordered and are returning their picture package for a new photo)
    • IMPORTANT: Students who had their picture taken and ID card printed already will not receive a new ID card upon having their Make-up day picture taken.

 

 

 


 

  • Titan Talks: Join Principal Stratton and Assistant Principals for the first "Titan Talks" of the year, Tuesday August 27, at lunch in the main office. Titan Talks are monthly drop in sessions for students- come in and chat with admin about what is on your mind- no appt necessary! 

 

  • The Academic Center is recruiting tutors now. If you are interested in becoming a Gunn tutor in the Academic Center, go to tinyurl.com/GunnTutor to apply. We are very interested in prep-period tutors, one-on-one tutors, and after-school drop-In Tutors.     • Permits are sold on a first come, first served basis.
    • Juniors who may have a special circumstance that requires driving to school may apply for an exception HERE
    • No permits will be sold to 9th or 10th graders.

  • The first PAUSD school-board meeting is coming up on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m., at 25 Churchill Ave. All students are welcome to join the meeting and speak about issues you feel are important during the open forum or comment on one of the agenda items. If you have an issue you want to speak about, fill out the form at tinyurl.com/gunnsbr, email philyoonseo@gmail.com, or DM @gunnsbr on Instagram. Yoonseo Lee, Gunn’s school-board representative, will then work with you to make sure your voice is heard at the meeting. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns!

 

  • Welcome Back Dance on 8/23 from 7:30-10:30 on the senior quad. The theme is "Summer Sunset" and come dressed in casual tropical clothing (pink, teal, orange, yellow, etc.) --- make sure to bring your Student ID and tropical vibes for entry!!   Enjoy FREE chips and water, and play some ping-pong, cornhole, and jenga to take a break from the dance floor. Tickets are $5 with CURRENT GUNN ID -  buy pre-sale at https://gunn-titans-store.myschoolcentral.com and in the SAC until Thursday at 4:pm or at the door.  No Guests for the first dance.
