Homecoming Spirit Swap for Rally Cup Points!  Hi Titans! Right now the JUNIOR class is leading in Rally Cup points! If you’re looking to boost your class’s points and score some FREE Homecoming gear, participate in the Homecoming Spirit Swap!  Every contribution counts towards the cup, so make sure to participate!  *SEC reserves the right to refuse donations which do not fit homecoming themes*

  • Tuesday, 9/26, swing by the Senior Quad @ lunch and drop off your previous year’s Homecoming costumes in the donation bins.
  • Wednesday 9/27 & Thursday 9/28, we will be collecting donations in the SAC @lunch.
  • Friday 9/29, thrift items for your dress ups from the Senior Quad bins.

Homecoming Spirit Shirt Handout: 9/27 - 9/28.  Shirts will be delivered and handed out this week at lunch and after school by the Student Activities Center - just in time for Color Day! A small number of extras have been ordered for purchase in the SAC only starting on 9/27.

  • If you ordered the wrong size, you must go to the SAC to exchange - we may not be able to do so depending on how many of the extras we have sold.
  • If you forgot to buy one, we have very limited extras available for purchase in the SAC
  • Starting on 9/29, you can pick your shirt up in the SAC

Float Assembly:  9/30 and 10/1 at Gunn from 10am - 6pm.  Come help your class assembly their float for the competition!

  • Homecoming Dance, Capping off the homecoming week with a bang, Gunn SEC presents “Neon Nights”! Saturday, 10/7 from 7-10 PM in Titan Gym. $15.00 with ASB/ Lightning Pass and $20.00 with school ID.  All guests are $20.00 with guest pass on file.  The dance can sell out, so buy them now!  Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $20.00
  • Homecoming Dance Guests:  If you are bringing a guest who does not attend Gunn to the dance on 10/7, you must turn in a completed Guest Pass for your guest to be approved by a Gunn Administrator before you can buy your guest a ticket.  Only ONE Guest per student!  All Guest Passes are due no later than Wednesday, 10/4 by 4:00 PM in the MAIN OFFICE - no exceptions.  Guest Pass Forms are available in the SAC or online

Gunn PTSA and Paly PTSA are EXCITED to bring Stanford School of Medicine’s Dr. Jamie Zeitser and Dr. Rafael Pelayo, MD on 9/20/2023 from 7 to 8:30 PM at Gunn High School’s Library to speak to parents and caretakers about how to help our teens sleep better in this digital age and these stressful times.

  • Fall Sports Rally, Thursday, 8/24 @ lunch in Titan Gym: Dress up theme is Redout (otterpops if you are wearing red) musical chairs comp (sign up to play here!), and cheer and dance performances.  Come learn about the fall sports season and support fall sports!

  • Come to Gunn's Annual Welcome Back Social on Thursday, Aug. 24th 5-7PM. Once again, the Gunn Foundation is organizing this event which will have music and several popular food trucks (Oaxacan Kitchen, Waffle Roost and Island Ice). Students, families and staff are all invited to this Fall social. Bring money to buy dinner or dessert. See you there!

  • Parking Permits are on sale in the Student Activities Office for juniors and seniors only in the following order.  From 8/16 - 8/22: Permits will be available to Juniors and Seniors who live past El Camino, Foothill, Page Mill, and Adobe Creek.   Starting this Wednesday, 8/23, any junior or senior can purchase a permit until sold out.  Cost is $125 and forms are available in the SAO or at this link. Permits are sold on a first come, first served basis.

  • 9th Grade CLASS ELECTIONS - Run for Office!  Are you part of the Class of 2027?  Represent the 9th Grade Class at Gunn!  Read about the positions and responsibilities at the Gunn HS Student Activities Website at https://www.gunnsec.org/9th-grade-class-elections.html and look over the application to see if Student Executive Council is for you.  Applications will be due Friday, August 18th! 

  • Photo Make Up Day:  If you missed photo day or 9th Grade Orientation, you have one more chance to get your photo taken on Wednesday, 9/6 in Spangenberg Theater Lobby from 9am - 2pm!  This is not for retakes – only students and staff who have not had their photo taken yet.
