  • With less than 30 days of school left, this is a great time to consider a visit to The Academic Center.  The AC is a quiet place to study, borrow books, print papers, and to get a tutor.  The AC offers after-school tutoring, Monday through Thursday, in the Library.  Some of the best tutors you'll ever meet are waiting to help you.  No appointment necessary.  Just drop in and get homework help, refreshers or a study partner.  We have tutors in all levels of classes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Math and more.  Come see us in Room D-2, next to the library, to register or sign up online here.  https://tinyurl.com/GunnTutor

  • The Gunn Grad Night Committee is excited to announce that early-bird registration for Gunn’s 2024 Senior Grad Night Party and Senior Picnic is now open. Attendance is optional for both events, but we sincerely hope that ALL seniors will participate and celebrate this huge milestone safely together!  No senior will be turned away for financial reasons.   • Mindful Mondays:  Hey Titans, for the month of April, the wellness team will be hosting Mindful Mondays: Join the wellness team on the senior quad to develop mindfulness as a daily habit!

 

  • Hi Titans! SEC is planning a second Titan Town Hall on Wednesday, April 24, during PRIME in the library. Similar to what we hosted last semester, the panel will include site administrators and district officials ready to answer any questions. If you have topics you’d like to be discussed, please fill out the form at tinyurl.com/TitanTownHall2!

  • Career Opportunities - Job Fair, Monday, 4/22:  The Work Experience program is hosting the Gunn spring job fair this coming Monday, April 22nd during lunch on the quad!  Don't miss out on finding your next great job, network with local managers, and get FREE swag! Reminder to check the Career Opportunities slidedeck regularly for career related ideas such as jobs, volunteering, summer programs, and career events.  Work Permits are processed all summer long, visit during office hours or email: rkaci@pausd.org for more information.

 

  • It’s Earth Week 2024!  Check Out the Events for the Week:
    • Monday, 4/22 - Earth Day Fair, Hosted by Green Team at Lunch on the Quad.  Learn about climate mitigation and sustainable living from clubs and local organizations!  Each table gives you an entry for the drawing on Friday!
    • Wednesday, 4/24:  Green Team Succulent Drive and Pot Painting Fundraiser at Lunch on the Quad.  $3 for a pot and succulent (cash only), participating gets you an entry for the drawing on Friday!
    • Thursday, 4/25:  Sustainability Pledge Tree at lunch at the Freshman Quad.  Come write a pledge to adopt a sustainable practice into your life. Then, hang it on our pledge tree to solidify your pledge and share it with others!  Participating gets you an entry for the drawing on Friday

 

  • The next school-board meeting will be on Tuesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m., at 25 Churchill Ave. The meeting will include updates on the staff housing project at 231 Grant Ave. and mental health (find the full agenda HERE). Everyone is welcome to join the meeting and speak during Open Forum or comment on an agenda item.   • Any found items from Prom will be in the Student Activities Center - if you lost something, come by the SAC to see if we found your item!

 

  • Senior Grad 2024 Lawn Signs:  Celebrate your grad with a 2024 Lawn Sign!  Order now at the Titan Online Store through this Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:59pm  Signs will be available for pick up at the Student Activities Center in Early May - we will notify you when they arrive.

 

  • Seniors - be in the Panoramic Picture!  The Panoramic Picture will be taken this Friday, April 26th at the start of Study Hall at the Football Field - come straight to the field visitor side bleachers right after lunch.  You are expected to go check in to your Study Hall after the photo is completed.  if you wish to purchase one, order online at gsp-photos.com

  • Blood Drive:  Hi, Titans! YCS-I and HOSA are partnering with the Stanford Blood Center on April 15 for our annual Blood Drive! All students who are at least 16 years old and who are eligible have the opportunity to donate blood and make a positive impact on our community.   • Bus Sign Ups open at 12pm on Sunday, 4/14 and close at 5:00pm on Tuesday, 4/16.  Each person attending Prom must sign themselves up (including guests not from Gunn).  Anyone attending Prom who does not sign up will be assigned to a bus with space.  If you are not on the purchased ticket list, you will be removed from the bus sign up. For complete info and the latest updates, go to gunnsec.org/prom

 

  • Prom Closet 2024:  Free dresses, shoes, jewelry, & suits, April 12 - 19.  Come drop in to K-14 before school, brunch, lunch or PRIME.  After school by appointment  only - contact Ms. Menache to arrange.

 

  • Hey Titans! Come check out the Neurodiversity Week events next week, we will be having activities on the senior quad on Wednesday, 4/17 such as coloring and a “What’s in the box?” challenge as well as an event with the Futures students during PRIME in the wellness center, and there will be a resource fair on the quad 4/18 with lots of different clubs and other organizations as well as candy and fidget toy prizes, be sure to be there!

  • Tuxedo Fittings from Tuxedos and More:  Interested in renting a tuxedo for Prom?  Tuxedos and More will be on campus Tuesday, 4/9 and Thursday, 4/11 in room P-105  from 12:20 - 4:30pm for fitting and to ask questions about rentals if interested!
  • The Dodgeball Tournament starts this Wednesday! Come out to Titan Gym during Lunch to watch the tourney brackets! RULES  The tournament will last from the 10th to the 12th, with the championship game on Friday the 12th!
  • Gunn Jazz Bands Swing Dance - Buy Tickets Now!  Our 10th annual Swing Dance is almost here!
